Charlatte Model CBL2000E battery powered belt loader is designed to withstand the severe operational demands in today's airline ramp environment, and at the same time, meet the environmental non-polluting clean air requirements. The unit does not fill the cargo bins with smoke or fumes and noise is non-existent.

The unit is fully mobile and capable of servicing a wide range of aircraft with door sill heights ranging from 40 inches (101.6 cm) up to 172 inches (436.9 cm). A unique feature of the vehicle is the "creep" mode, which allows the vehicle to approach the aircraft at a regulated speed, which is adjustable from 0.5 to 3 mph (0.8 - 4.8 km/h). The operators compartment contains all the controls and indicators necessary to drive the unit, and to raise and lower the belt boom. The belt drive is powered by an electric motor directly coupled to the drive roller eliminating the need for sprockets and chains. Belt controls for the belt direction are located at the front and rear of the belt boom. Stop buttons are located on all four corners, and emergency stop buttons are located on the left and right side on front of the boom.

The CBL2000E features systems that are compatible with the T-135 baggage tractor. The drive motor, controller, converter, axles, steering system, brake system, and the majority of the accessories are the same as those used in the T-135 electric baggage tractor.
